Labour market for technical talent

The shortage of technicians poses a challenge for the entire energy sector as well as society as a whole. In 2018, we filled 628 vacancies, including 294 vacancies for technical positions in operations.

Financial results in 2018

Alliander’s income is made up of approximately 85% income from the regulated activities of Liander and 15% other income, the latter being income from rental of large-user meters, income related to new activities, activities outside the Netherlands

Income statement for 2018

The profit after tax for 2018 was €334 million (2017: €203 million). The increase is mainly accounted for by the book profit on the sale of Allego, amounting to €105 million, in 2018.
