The effective tax rate was 16.7%. The difference compared to the nominal rate (25%) is the outcome of the revaluation of the deferred tax asset arising from the change to the corporate income tax rate.

Coming in at €227 million after tax, the share in the profits of participations was up by €27 million compared to 2020, primarily as a result of higher profits at network operator Liander.
